When David was a shepherd he received the prophetic promise and declaration from the Prophet Samuel that he would become King over Israel. Imagine what David felt like… More than likely he was excited and looking forward to acquiring what God had for Him.

Surviving  A Failed Marriage Or Relationship

David was married to Michal (King Saul’s Daughter)… In the beginning there was love but sadly that love left and Michal married another man (1 Samuel 18). David was indeed heartbroken and even tried to win her back.. but to no avail. What do you do when someone you love cannot give you the love you deserve ?

What I Believe

Honestly, I believe that Michal could not handle King David taking her father’s place. I believe that Michal was slightly jealous of David. However, she missed her blessing. Because God was trying to spare her from her father’s ignorance and rebellion, but she became so prideful that she was blinded and lost her blessing. The Lord closed her womb and in the end she died.

God Reality

The Bible says that to much is given, much is required. If you are someone who is hurting because of a failed relationship my heart and prayers go out to you. During this time find your strength and encouragement with God. God will bless you and see you through. In Jesus Name.

⁴⁸ But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

Prayer

Father, I come boldly to the throne of grace. I pray over everyone who is heartbroken from a failed relationship. I pray that you give them wisdom to separate themselves from that relationship. I pray and ask according to Isaiah 53 that you heal them in Jesus Name. Thank God, Amen.
